Rose 2 Feathers Hernandez

Rose Two Feathers Hernandez, is a native of Texas, a Mescalero Apache (Aztec), and Mestiza in lineage. She has been an entrepreneur and artist since 1988, an accomplished practitioner in the healing arts for over 34 years, walking the Two Spirit Red Road. She has taught her healing skills and native craftsmanship since 2005. Acknowledged as a Keeper of the Rock for her Mayan Clan in the same year. Her passion is sanative based, sharing her knowledge for the empowerment of others.

Rose's practice consists of utilizing gemstones: cabochons, spheres, and amorphous in shape, as well as quartz pendulums, and quartz crystals that are tiny to hand size.

In the circle of ceremony

I watched tradition

beat to the drum of old earthly hearts.

I saw old visions in young souls

and youthful dreams

in the thoughts and emotions

of the elder wisdom.

I felt humble footsteps

and the chants of rattles

bring life to the earth’s soil.

I saw eyes grace the incoming

energy of the universal truth;

We all mattered in the form of physical matter.

And truth was all around me.

In the children,

In the drumming,

In the trees dancing with ceremony

Along with the flames of energetic life.

When the sacred tears dropped

as a gift of Father Sky,

light and gentle tears cleansed every soul

And spirit within the circle.

Prayers to the earth were absolved

to the ethers for witness to personal evolution.

At the end of the ceremony,

The visions and dreams

still vibrated and seeped of blessings

brought forth through

the drumming,

the voices in prayer,

and the footsteps,

of all the ritual

that had taken place

in our humbled hearts.

Blessings that started long ago

reaching all who gathered

to honor our past

and predominately our present self.
